Flutter vendor comparison
10 Flutter App Development Companies to Evaluate in 2026
Hiring a Flutter app development company is a production decision: architecture, automated tests, store release, and who owns the repository. This page compares 10 companies with public Flutter evidence reviewed in September 2026. Numbering is for readability, not an objective market rank. Virtuous Techlogic provides Flutter services and is included—verify every provider independently, including us.

Disclosure: Virtuous Techlogic provides Flutter app development services and is included in this comparison. We have therefore published our selection methodology and encourage buyers to independently verify every provider, including us.
Research reviewed: September 2026
Next review: approximately March 2027 (3–6 months)
How We Selected These Companies
This shortlist is a buyer-evaluation set researched from public evidence available in September 2026. It is not an exhaustive market census, not a paid ranking, and not a claim that Google, Clutch, or the Flutter project ranked these firms.
The numbering below is for readability and is not a claim of objective market rank. Companies appear in alphabetical order.
We looked for:
- A current official Flutter or cross-platform service page that belongs to the company
- Named Flutter project evidence, a Flutter-focused public repository, or an independent review profile that mentions Flutter work
- Signals of Dart and architecture skill (state management, native SDK integrations, Firebase/Supabase or custom APIs)
- Store-delivery, testing, migration, or maintenance language that a buyer can actually check
- Evidence freshness—pages and case studies that still exist at the research date
We did not invent hourly rates, team sizes, review scores, or delivery outcomes. Where a fact could not be verified from a primary source, it is omitted. Seed names that lacked a dedicated, checkable Flutter service footprint were dropped rather than padded into the list.
Authoritative Flutter references used for buyer criteria (not as endorsements of any vendor) include the Flutter state-management overview, Flutter testing guidance, performance best practices, and the Flutter consultants directory.

10 Flutter app development companies
Use these profiles as a shortlist, then request a repository walkthrough. Public marketing pages are not a substitute for architecture evidence.
Abbacus Technologies
Best suited for: Agencies or product companies that want Flutter delivery under their own brand, including white-label arrangements described on the company’s site.
Why it is on this shortlist: Abbacus publishes a dedicated Flutter service page and a separate white-label Flutter page. That is a clearer Flutter footprint than a one-line mention on a generic mobile page.
Relevant capabilities: Cross-platform Flutter for iOS, Android, and web as described on the official Flutter page. White-label delivery is a stated service, which matters if you are an agency that must own client-facing branding.
Public evidence reviewed: Official Flutter and white-label pages on abbacustechnologies.com (checked September 2026).
Potential fit: A buyer who already has product/design ownership and needs a Flutter build partner, especially for partner or agency-branded delivery.
What to verify before hiring: Ask who owns the Git repository, Flutter project, and store accounts, and request a walkthrough of a recent Flutter module (state management, API layer, tests)—not only a marketing deck.
Bacancy
Best suited for: Organizations that want to hire Flutter developers or add a larger cross-platform bench, including Bloc/Firebase-style stacks described on Bacancy’s Flutter pages.
Why it is on this shortlist: Bacancy maintains multiple Flutter service URLs and appears in the official Flutter consultants directory as of this research date. Directory listing is a verification signal, not a Google ranking of “best company.”
Relevant capabilities: The company’s Flutter page cites Dart, Bloc, REST, Firebase, GraphQL, and payment integrations. Separate pages cover Flutter web, desktop, consulting, and hiring developers. Treat those as capability claims to validate on your codebase, not as guaranteed staffing levels.
Public evidence reviewed: bacancytechnology.com/flutter-app-development, flutter.dev/consultants, and Clutch profile (checked September 2026). We do not reproduce Clutch scores here.
Potential fit: A product team that already has a backlog and needs Flutter capacity, or a company comparing staff augmentation versus a fixed-scope build.
What to verify before hiring: Ask whether the people on the sales call are the people who will own architecture, tests, and store release—or whether the engagement is primarily staff augmentation.
Blackthorn Vision
Best suited for: Teams that need Flutter as one slice of a wider product-engineering engagement (web, cloud, and mobile), rather than a Flutter-only studio.
Why it is on this shortlist: Blackthorn Vision publishes a dedicated Flutter app development page covering cross-platform mobile, Flutter web, IoT, and enterprise solutions. That is stronger than a buried keyword on a generic services list.
Relevant capabilities: Official Flutter page describes iOS/Android from one codebase, Flutter web, and device/IoT integrations. The company also markets a broader Microsoft/.NET practice. Buyers should confirm which stack will actually ship for their product.
Public evidence reviewed: Official Flutter page and Clutch profile (checked September 2026). Independent profile existence is noted; ratings are omitted because they change and are not reproduced here.
Potential fit: A European or North American product team that already has backend systems and wants Flutter clients without hiring a separate native pair of teams.
What to verify before hiring: Ask for the Flutter module boundaries versus any .NET or native work, and who maintains CI, signing, and store listings after launch.
Chili Labs
Best suited for: Buyers who want a mobile product studio with named Flutter apps, including native-to-Flutter migration.
Why it is on this shortlist: Chili Labs publishes a Flutter development page and public case studies that name Flutter, including TWINO (Flutter iOS/Android) and Luminary Business (migration to a single Flutter codebase). Named shipped products are more useful than generic “we do Flutter” copy.
Relevant capabilities: Documented Flutter delivery for finance-adjacent mobile products, plus a public example of replacing dual native apps with Flutter. Other Chili cases describe native SDK bridges (for example maps or wallet payments) when Flutter alone was not enough—ask for the same pattern on your project.
Public evidence reviewed: Official Flutter service page and the TWINO and Luminary case pages (checked September 2026). We do not repeat unverified user-count or award claims from marketing sites.
Potential fit: A product company in Europe that needs UX-heavy mobile delivery and can share an existing native or Flutter repo for a code audit.
What to verify before hiring: Ask how they test regulated or payment-sensitive flows, and how they isolate secrets and privileged writes off the Flutter client.
Codiant
Best suited for: Buyers who need Flutter as part of a broader custom software program (mobile, web, and ongoing support), not only a two-person Flutter pod.
Why it is on this shortlist: Codiant publishes a dedicated Flutter development service page and related hire-Flutter-developer / cross-platform pages on the same domain. There is also an independent Clutch company profile.
Relevant capabilities: Official pages describe Flutter for iOS, Android, and web, plus dedicated-developer hiring. Codiant’s wider site is a general software firm, so Flutter depth should be proven with a project walkthrough rather than assumed from company size claims.
Public evidence reviewed: Official Flutter URL and Clutch profile URL (checked September 2026). We do not copy review excerpts or hardcode ratings.
Potential fit: A mid-market team that wants one vendor for Flutter mobile plus related web/admin work, with a written ownership clause.
What to verify before hiring: Ask which engineers have shipped Flutter to both stores recently, and whether QA, CI, and store submission are in the statement of work.
FlutterDevs
Best suited for: Teams that specifically want a Flutter-specialist vendor rather than a general mobile agency that added Flutter last year.
Why it is on this shortlist: FlutterDevs’ public site is organized around Flutter app development, and the company maintains a public GitHub organization used for Flutter packages and samples. Open repositories are not the same as your production architecture, but they are checkable.
Relevant capabilities: Official site describes Flutter for mobile, web, and desktop, plus UI, testing, integrations, migration, and maintenance. Confirm state management, native plugins, and CI on a call with the actual engineers.
Public evidence reviewed: flutterdevs.com and github.com/flutter-devs (checked September 2026). Marketing claims such as “top rated” or large client counts are not repeated here.
Potential fit: A startup or product team that already chose Flutter and wants a specialist to implement, migrate, or maintain the Dart codebase.
What to verify before hiring: Ask for a production app architecture diagram (features, state, networking, flavors) and whether widget/integration tests exist for critical paths.
Quokka Labs
Best suited for: Founders evaluating Flutter for a new product who also want to see Flutter-tagged portfolio entries.
Why it is on this shortlist: Quokka Labs publishes a dedicated Flutter app development page and a portfolio that tags multiple products as Flutter. That combination is stronger than a blog post that only mentions the framework.
Relevant capabilities: Official Flutter page describes iOS, Android, web, and desktop from one codebase. Portfolio entries are named products; treat feature lists on those pages as vendor-reported unless you can open the live app.
Public evidence reviewed: Official Flutter URL and portfolio URL (checked September 2026).
Potential fit: A startup that wants Flutter for a first commercial release and needs a partner who will discuss MVP cuts without pretending every feature belongs in version one.
What to verify before hiring: Pick one Flutter-tagged portfolio item and ask what state-management library, CI, and store-release process were actually used.
SolveIt
Best suited for: European buyers who want Flutter consulting, a written product plan, or help rescuing an existing app—not only greenfield pixel work.
Why it is on this shortlist: SolveIt publishes a dedicated Flutter services page and a mobile consulting page that describes discovery, architecture notes, and project-rescue language. Rescue capability is relevant when you are taking over a Flutter repo.
Relevant capabilities: Official pages present Flutter as a primary cross-platform option, with consulting before build. Confirm Dart depth, test strategy, and backend ownership in discovery; do not rely on self-reported ratings on the vendor site.
Public evidence reviewed: solveit.dev Flutter and mobile-development pages (checked September 2026). Third-party scores quoted on those pages are not independently reproduced here.
Potential fit: A founder who needs a Flutter go/no-go and architecture note before committing to a full build, including overlap with EU time zones.
What to verify before hiring: Ask what “rescue” means in practice: dependency upgrades, rewrite of state, Firebase rules, or a phased native-module extraction.
Virtuous Techlogic
Best suited for: Startups, agencies, and growing product teams that need production Flutter engineering, existing-app takeover, or a path from FlutterFlow to custom Flutter.
Relevant strengths:
- Flutter as a core service: one codebase for iOS, Android, and web when that split is justified—see Flutter app development.
- Documented white-label Flutter delivery for agencies: white-label Flutter case study.
- FlutterFlow rescue and migration when custom Dart outgrows the builder: FlutterFlow migration case study and FlutterFlow rescue solution.
- Backends you can own: Firebase, Supabase, or existing APIs, with privileged writes kept off the client—as described on the Flutter service page.
- AI features inside live Flutter apps when the product already exists: AI integration for Flutter apps.
Relevant proof: Company positioning is product engineering across mobile, Flutter, FlutterFlow, web, and production AI. Flutter-specific proof on this site is the service page plus the white-label and FlutterFlow-migration case studies. We do not claim unsupported user counts or anonymous “success stories” in this article.
Engineering considerations: Takeover work starts with a read-only architecture review (module boundaries, auth, data, CI, store accounts). State management, routing, and environments should be explicit enough that your team can continue after handover. FlutterFlow projects are migrated when custom Dart, performance, or ownership needs exceed the builder—not by default.
Independent feedback: See current verified feedback on Clutch. Virtuous Techlogic reviews on Clutch.
Consider Virtuous if: You need a remote Flutter partner (delivery from India with overlap hours for EU and US teams), you own or will own the repository, and you want architecture discussion before a build estimate.
Verify before hiring: Ask for a category-relevant project walkthrough, architecture discussion, and delivery plan—including tests, store release, and source-code handover.
Xavor
Best suited for: Buyers who want Flutter consultation, a new build, or a documented migration/upgrade path on an official service page.
Why it is on this shortlist: Xavor publishes flutter-app-development covering consultation, Flutter app development, and migrations/upgrades. That matches common buyer jobs (greenfield, modernization, version upgrades) better than a generic “mobile apps” blurb.
Relevant capabilities: Official copy describes a single Flutter codebase for iOS and Android, with web/desktop mentioned as a strategy. Careers material on the same domain lists Provider, Riverpod, and Bloc as expected Flutter skills—useful as a discussion prompt, not as proof that every project uses all three.
Public evidence reviewed: Official Flutter service page (checked September 2026).
Potential fit: A US-facing product team comparing Flutter consultation plus delivery, especially if an existing app needs a Flutter migration plan.
What to verify before hiring: Ask for a migration spike plan: which screens stay native, how plugins are wrapped, and how regression tests will run before a store submit.
When Flutter is a strong choice
Flutter is a strong fit when you want one Dart codebase for iOS and Android (and often web), you control the UI, and you can accept Flutter’s rendering model. It is especially practical for startups that cannot staff two native teams, and for products whose differentiator is workflow and UI rather than OS-exclusive hardware APIs.
Flutter is also a reasonable default when you already have, or will have, a backend you own (Firebase, Supabase, or a custom API) and you need consistent design-system components across platforms. Official Flutter documentation describes how widgets, compilation, and platform embedding work; use that as the technical baseline, not vendor slogans.
When native development may be more appropriate
Prefer native (Swift/Kotlin) when the product depends on platform-only capabilities that Flutter plugins wrap poorly, when you must match a large existing native codebase, or when platform-team hiring is already the constraint. Offline-first hardware, specialized Bluetooth stacks, or OS-level background modes often need native modules even if the shell is Flutter.
Native may also be appropriate when your organization already has separate iOS and Android teams and a shared Flutter layer would add process cost without reducing headcount. Ask vendors to say no to Flutter when it is the wrong tool.
Flutter vs React Native considerations
Both are cross-platform. Flutter ships its own rendering and Dart toolchain; React Native sits closer to the JavaScript ecosystem. Choose based on team skills, existing web React investment, UI control needs, and long-term hiring—not a generic “faster” claim.
If your team is already strong in React, React Native can reduce context switching. If you want a consistent UI toolkit and a single layout system, Flutter is often easier to reason about. For a longer decision frame, see our Flutter vs React Native guide for startups.
How to validate a Flutter team’s architecture skill
Ask the team to walk a real repository: feature folders, routing, environment flavors, and where side effects live. Confirm they can explain a state-management choice using Flutter’s own state-management options—Bloc, Riverpod, Provider, or another approach—without treating the library name as architecture.
Then inspect: API/error boundaries, offline/cache behavior, native plugin usage, test pyramid (unit, widget, integration), and CI that runs on pull requests. If they cannot show tests for login, payments, or the primary user journey, treat that as a delivery risk.
How to Choose a Flutter App Development Company
Start from the job to be done: new product, takeover, migration from native or FlutterFlow, or a dedicated Flutter pod. Then score vendors on evidence you can inspect, not on list order.
- Repository access or a redacted architecture review before you sign a large statement of work
- Named engineer ownership for architecture, not only a sales architect
- Written source-code, store-account, and cloud-project ownership—see our source-code ownership guide
- QA and store-release responsibility in the contract
- A maintenance plan for Flutter and plugin upgrades after launch
For a general vendor-selection checklist that is not Flutter-specific, use how to choose a mobile app development company.
Questions to Ask Before Hiring
Use these in discovery. Direct answers beat slide decks.
- Which state-management approach will you use, and why does it fit this product?
- How do you integrate native SDKs, and who owns plugin upgrades?
- Where do Firebase/Supabase security rules or API authorization live?
- What automated tests run in CI before a store build?
- Who submits to App Store and Google Play, and whose developer accounts are used?
- Can you take over an existing Flutter or FlutterFlow repo, and what does week one look like?
- What do we own on day one after handover: Git, CI, stores, and backend projects?
Cost Factors
There is no honest universal Flutter price. Cost moves with scope. Discuss drivers, then request a scoped estimate. Related planning context: mobile app cost drivers.
- Feature complexity, roles, and admin surfaces
- iOS, Android, and whether web/desktop are in scope
- Design system depth versus using stock widgets
- Backend, realtime, and third-party integrations
- Payments, auth, and compliance-sensitive workflows
- Offline behavior and performance budgets
- AI features (model calls, evaluation, and human review)
- QA device matrix and store-release process
- Team model (project team vs dedicated developers vs mixed)
- Post-launch maintenance and Flutter/OS upgrades
Timeline Factors
Do not accept a fixed calendar without a written scope. Timelines stretch with integrations, store review, data migration, and unclear ownership of designs. Focused Flutter MVPs can move in weeks to a few months when the vertical slice is small; regulated or multi-role products take longer. Ask for milestones tied to a testable slice, not a single “app done” date.
Agency vs freelancer vs in-house team
A Flutter specialist agency fits when you need design, engineering, QA, and store release under one accountable contract. A freelancer can work for a narrow module if you already own architecture. In-house fits long-term product companies that will keep Dart skills on payroll. Compare models in agency vs freelancer vs in-house.
Red Flags to Watch For
- A ranked “#1 Flutter company” claim with no methodology
- No repository, no tests, and no CI in the proposal
- Client-side secrets or unrestricted Firestore/Supabase rules
- Unwillingness to name who owns source code and store accounts
- Copy-paste portfolios that cannot be opened or walked through
- Promises of native-only APIs with “Flutter handles everything”
- No plan for plugin breakage after a Flutter SDK upgrade
Why Technical Proof Matters More Than Marketing Claims
Flutter quality shows up in architecture, tests, and release process. Logos, “top 10” badges, and hardcoded star ratings are easy to fake and hard to audit. Prefer a recorded architecture walkthrough, a test report from CI, and a written handover checklist. If a vendor will not show how state, networking, and flavors work, they are selling a brochure.
Final Decision Checklist
- Flutter is the right platform for this product (or native modules are explicitly planned)
- You have seen architecture, not only UI screenshots
- Tests and CI are in the statement of work
- Source code, stores, and cloud projects are owned by you
- Store release and post-launch support are named
- You independently checked official URLs and, where used, Clutch/GitHub evidence
- Two vendors were compared on the same scope, not on list position
